The bergamot is fragrant without being sharp, and the black tea base has a nice malty depth that holds up well even after a few extra minutes of steeping. I've already reordered, this is my new afternoon staple.

I've been drinking this every morning for two weeks and the grapefruit oil makes it taste brighter than the plain bergamot Earl Greys I used to buy. Loose leaf really does make a difference — one spoonful in my teapot and the whole kitchen smells like citrus.

The grapefruit oil really comes through alongside the bergamot, giving it a brighter, more complex cup than your standard Earl Grey. It brews up a rich, dark liquor that handles a splash of milk nicely, though I wish the black tea base had a bit more body to stand up to the citrus.
